Split-levels, ramblers and basement baths
Most of Taylorsville was built out between the 1960s and the '80s, long before the city incorporated in 1996. The houses we see most are ramblers and split-levels with original or once-updated kitchens: oak cabinets, laminate or tile counters, and an L-shaped layout that stops short of the dining area.
Those homes remodel well. New cabinets with the uppers run to the ceiling, an island where the dining table used to sit, and quartz counters change the whole main floor.
