Much of Sandy was built from the 1970s through the '90s: two-stories and split-levels on the east bench toward the foothills, and ramblers and multi-levels across the rest of the city. Plenty of those kitchens still have the original oak cabinets, tile or laminate counters and a peninsula that boxes in the cook.
